To preserve battery life and to capture relevant footage, the built-in PIR heat-sensing sensor triggers recordings only when it senses people, large pets or cars up to 8m away. The camera’s internal memory saves up to 7 days (hundreds) of 10-60 second video clips plus 2 days of free cloud storage.
