About 18650 Batteries

Thanks to the newly popular 18650 rechargeable battery, high-drain devices can become cordless and avoid the need for costly disposable batteries. Powerbanks, jump starters, high-brightness torches & spotlights, portable fans, radios and portable speakers, remote surveillance systems, and wireless doorbells are just some of the many products in the Jaycar range that are powered by the 18650 batteries. They are also used in cordless drills, vapes, laptops, electric scooters and bikes.

The 18650 is available in Li-ion (Lithium Ion) with a nominal voltage of 3.6V and LiFeP04 (Lithium iron phosphate) with a 3.2V nominal voltage. As per common battery naming conventions, the 18650 stands for 18mm in diameter by 65mm long. The 0 indicates that the cell has a cylindrical shape.

The Jaycar range includes capacities between 1600mAh to 3500mAh (milliamp-hours), with flat-top, button-top (nipple) and solder tab versions also available.
