In the past, subwoofer modules have been very expensive - they are high-powered, very efficient amplifiers, making it a costly exercise to create your own subwoofer system. Now you can build your own sub for home theatre at a fraction of the cost of the hi-fi shop models. The module is a simple drop-in type that only requires a single cutout in your enclosure. It remains in standby mode, then is activated when it receives a signal from the amp.
